So sad. It bugs me that government wants to pass laws based on a few minor cases though. What is the percentage of SIDS deaths in the cribs up against those that die bed sharing? Causes are a factor as well. I was very impressed though with this report. Alot of media will jump on something and vilify those in the minority. I thought this was a great and well balanced report. I have co-slept with 4 of my 6 (and will with my newborn.) we usually do it until about 4 months. By that time, I have rested enough to handle the night feedings. They still stay in our room. Dad doesn't sleep when they start moving around alot. :)

ReplyDeleteWe happily co-sleep. Although, I'm about ready to kick my 14 month old wiggle worm out of bed. Waking up to a foot in my stomach and an elbow jabbed in my eyeball is getting old. ;) In all honesty, I don't know how I would have managed the newborn phase if I'd had to get up every two hours night after night and not been able to just sleep through those night nursings.
