Meal Plans - May 8-14th

MMMmmmmmmmm

Food. I love it. Especially when I know what the heck I'm making everyday.

So, after 3 months of no menu planning in the craziness that is life with a newborn, here is my first week of menu plans.

Also, trying to get back to focusing on REAL food... trying to cut out most of the processed junk we eat and cut back on juices, etc....  Personally, I am replacing mine and Noah's sugar consumption w/xylitol or honey only. Check out this awesome real food site ... I found it today and it's totally renewed my commitment to real food ONLY!

Menu Plan Monday Feb.21

Attempting to menu plan to make this week a little more manageable. Bryan goes back to work tomorrow and I have a feeling I'm going to be stressed out for the next couple of days... or years.
Blahh!  We're off to get a portable baby swing today because eventually I'm going to have to put down this baby to help Noah or to put something in the oven ...

Monday: Ziti w/Caesar salad & garlic bread
Tuesday: Chicken/rice pilaf/beans
Wednesday: Fajitas
Thursday: Tomato soup/grilled cheese
Friday: Homemade Pizzas
Saturday: Leftovers

Menu Plan Monday - Jan.24th

A day late, a dollar short..... or something like that.

It's hard for me to focus on anything but this baby being born. But menu plan, I must. I may just focus on dinners this week because I've been really finicky towards what I'm eating at breakfast or lunch. I just don't have the appetite to want to prepare anything large.....and kind of just focus on feeding Noah.

Tuesday- spaghetti & garlic bread w/veggies/salad on the side
Wednesday - slow cooker chicken soup w/homemade rolls
Thursday - meatball subs/salad/veggies (this is often on the menu but I never end up making it!)
Friday - homemade pizza/pepperoni bread
Saturday- breakfast for dinner....eggs or pancakes
Sunday- soup/sandwiches

Ohh...how I hope we're eating someone's prepared/frozen food by Sunday.

Resolutions/Menu Plan Monday

So... unusually for me, I didn't really make any New Year's Resolutions, at least not by New Year's Eve.  Normally, you'd find me with a notebook, pen and huge list of different resolutions that I needed to accomplish for the year.

This year, I kind of let them come to me over the past two days.

Family Resolution: move. enough said.
Relationship Resolution: serve my husband in love.  Trying to remember to do little things for him that show him how much I appreciate him and love him.
Personal Resolution:  whether its talking a walk or dancing with Noah around the house, incorporate fitness back into my life. I'd love to start taking a yoga class with the babies too.
Home Resolution: Menu Plan! I drive myself crazy every single day trying to think of what to make and this is an area of my life that NEEDS to be simplified, especially with baby #2 on the way.

So here it is... menu for the week.

Menu Plan Monday

Last week was sort of a success, sort of not. Because of my weird work schedule, things just get crazy. We did eat two of the six meals. haha..........okay...more of a failure.

This week should be a little more normal however, I'm not counting on it.

Breakfasts: Noah and I are the only ones who really eat breakfast but we go through a lot! Eggs, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, english muffins, milk, orange juice
Lunches: We do mostly sandwiches because its portable since Noah is always on the go! Whole wheat bread, turkey, american cheese, egg salad, tuna, applesauce, raisins, cherry tomatoes, etc.

Monday: Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes
Tuesday: Italian chicken/Potato wedges/grilled peppers and a green veggie
Wednesday: Tacos (for Bry) Rice & Beans (for Noah)
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Dinner at a friends - bringing salad to share
Saturday: Butternut Squash/Tomato Soup/Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Sunday: Homemade Pizza

That's all for now folks!
